Where will I be in five years?
The only place I want to be is here. I want to be present.
I don’t live for tomorrow, for as the Bible tells us worry about today, tomorrow will bring its own worries. So I live to be present. To be in each moment. Sure I look forward to things but I am cautious not to miss the moments until the event I look forward to.
Planning is great yes, I live by my planner but I also schedule things for the moment. Memories to absorb, words of my children to cherish, kisses to record from my husband.
I live for the here and now and it’s taken me quite some time to learn how to do this. But it has been a very rewarding lesson.
So in five years I hope to be present.
